Arsenic and Old Lace

Everyone can agree it has been very hot the last couple of weeks. If you have the time and want to cool off go to the Ivoryton Playhouse and see "Arsenic and Old Lace," By Joseph Kesselring and directed by Julia Kiley.

The play is hilarious and the cast is wonderful.  It runs from June 9 to June 27.  It also coincides with a book that came out called The Devil's Rooming House by M. William Phelps which is the story which Arsenic and Old Lace is based off of.  The true story originated in Windsor, Connecticut.

Cary Grant played Mortimer in the movie version of this play. Who doesn't enjoy watching Cary Grant in action.

I am sorry to say that I stopped posting recipes after the Popover disaster but I will try again.
While it is hot you better get yourself some ice cream.
Who can't resist Haagan Daaz chocolate. Talk about smooth flavor. Here is the ice cream with the cover off.
Stay cool.
