I enjoy shopping at Stop and Shop, in fact I also prefer Stop and Shop to other grocery stores. They have great prices and you can get out quickly.

Here in one of the reasons I love shopping at Stop and Shop.

I have been busy. Between at work and at home I can not stand TOLL FREE CALLS. They have a better chance of me picking up the phone if the caller ID has a company name. I attached an article I wrote sometime ago. In the world of caller ID it is useless to keep calling anyone. The reality is if they call a home 15 times and no one answers, it is more than likely no one wants to talk to them. It is also harassment.

I did wrote an article or two. I have an affinity toward social media and became interested in Klout. So I wrote an article of some of what I observed. There are so many social media metrics they all give you some bit of information that can be useful.

I also wrote an article on some products that are useful with my ipod nano. I love to play my ipod in shuffle mode. My mother told me that the ipod uses more power when you have it shuffle and so I don't run on out of when listening to the ipod in the car. I also like to be able to charge my ipod in the wall socket as oppose to the computer all the time. So I thought I would share.

The last bit of information I have to share deals with a meal I bought at Trader Joe/s.

Trader's Joe's Shepherd's Pie. You have the choice of cooking the meal in the microwave or in the oven. I choose the oven.

Here is the meal out of the box, icy and cold.

Here is the cooked meal, and unfortunately I would not recommend buying it. It was very bland and watery. I believe the water came from all the ice from it being frozen. It did not do it for me.

Trust me this meal is not that great.

On another note, recently on saw the movie Inside Job. It is very interesting. Matt Damon narrates this documentary.

Balducci's The Food Lover's Market and Deep River Snacks

Yesterday I took a trip to Balducci's - the Food Lover's Market in Cos Cob/Greenwich. I picked myself up a roast beef sandwich on sourdough bread which was definitely tasty.

Image via WikipediaAlong with that I had myself a Orangina. I had a relative who lived in Italy and he talked about the joys of drinking them. Thank goodness we don't have to go to Italy to have an Orangina. Talk about scrumptious and juicy.

I also bought myself some Deep River Snack potato chips -- Rosemary and Olive Oil. These are made locally right here in Connecticut. I love the taste of the rosemary and olive oil on the potato chip. I have never tasted anything like it before. I would say it has a very lady like flavor. It is definitely gourmet. That is the only way I go if you know the way I grocery shop. These potato chips should be in the supermarket in full size bags.


Whip up new recipes and try new things.

I went shopping yesterday and look at what I bought for myself -- a garlic keeper. Something handy to have around the kitchen. It looks nicer than putting your garlic in a brown paper bag on the counter. I could just see it being accidently thrown out.

 Has anyone ever tried Stacy's All Natural Pita Chips? I have never bought pita chips before. It was a new experience for me. The one thing I know is that they are for the health conscious. I put myself in that dietary category.

 Here is a picture of the chips. They taste nothing like potato chips are crackers. Their is no flakiness to them. They don't taste bad or anything, but I won't rush out to the grocery store and purchase more.

 Try new things and whip things up in the kitchen.

I Scream You Scream We all Scream for Ice Cream!

I love going to the grocery store and choosing one of the exotic flavors of ice cream in the freezer. Yes, there are flavors that should definitely be passed up because they are bad combos.  I tried another Ben & Jerry ice cream - Maple Blondie. It is a limited batch flavor.

How yummy is it --- here is the ice cream with the cover off.

I love the taste of maple syrup on pancakes and French toast. That is why I love the maple flavor and the ice cream, and the added taste of those blondies. You could just lick those lips.

If not there is only one thing left to do...

Go to Dairy Queen and stand in line for a chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles. Here is the Dairy Queen in Old Saybrook, CT, which is one popular place. Almost every time you drive past the place there is a line of people for ice cream.

Get out and get ice cream!
