Theater Tonight!

Tonight I am off to the theater - Ivoryton Playhouse to be exact. They are doing The Woman in Black

The play stars Steven L. Barron who was last seen in the 2010 production Driving Miss Daisy and  Ian Lowe.  The show was directed by Maggie McGlone-Jennings. The story is based on the novel by Susan Hill. It is sure to be a success.

On another note this is what I had for dinner last night.
Yes, it is a television dinner but it is healthy and I don't like to make it a habit of eating frozen dinners. If you are going to eat healthy one of the better frozen meals to chose is Amy's. Here is what the meal looks like fresh out of the oven.
It was tasty but I would not recommend a frozen dinner on a regular basis.

While I did have a frozen meal for dinner I did have time to do a little more writing that was fun - Role Model: Arthur "Artie" Abrams of Glee

Bunny Rabbits, Ice Cream and Glee

Here is one of my neighbors. My boyfriend loves bunnies and rescued one last year from the dreadful lawnmower outside of our apartment.
I seem to be on a roll this Summer with ice cream and new flavors to try. I love Haagan Daaz and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream.  The latest flavor I tried recently is Boston Cream Pie.
Here it is with the cover off.
This has a really wonderful flavor. It is very creamy like the yellow cream busting out of the Boston cream pie.

Glee is the hottest television show. When I turn on the television all I hear about is all the celebrities who want to participate. Glee brings back the return of the musicals. Chris Colfer who plays Kurt was on Ellen, and she expressed an interest to be on the show. I have enjoyed watching all the guest stars. Sue Sylvester is a character you just love to hate.

You see Chris above. John Stamos I heard is joining the cast. I can not wait to see more of the drama.

Enjoy your day and watch some Glee.

Ben and Jerry's S'mores Ice Cream

It's summertime and there is no better time to try some different ice cream flavors. My latest trial was Ben and jerry's S'mores ice cream.
Now here is the inside of the container.
If you like soft ice cream that is melted this ice cream is perfect for you. The soft marshmallow makes this ice cream soft.

By the way if you want to see how dirty a counter or wall is, take a picture of it. Look at it, and if you are like me the next thing you will want to do is clean it.

I recently saw the movie "The Informant!" starring Matt Damon.
The Informant!
It gave me a new understanding of white collar crime and price fixing. I could not resist writing an article about it. There are so many articles online about corporations price fixing despite the fact that it is illegal. They appear to rather prefer ti price fix and face the consequences later. I know I get carried away I just do not like to hear of people abusing the system.

Don' t fret about price fixing and let it get you down. You only have one life, so relax and enjoy the free time you have.

I Scream You Scream We all Scream for Ice Cream!

I love going to the grocery store and choosing one of the exotic flavors of ice cream in the freezer. Yes, there are flavors that should definitely be passed up because they are bad combos.  I tried another Ben & Jerry ice cream - Maple Blondie. It is a limited batch flavor.
How yummy is it --- here is the ice cream with the cover off.
I love the taste of maple syrup on pancakes and French toast. That is why I love the maple flavor and the ice cream, and the added taste of those blondies. You could just lick those lips.

If not there is only one thing left to do...
Go to Dairy Queen and stand in line for a chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles. Here is the Dairy Queen in Old Saybrook, CT, which is one popular place. Almost every time you drive past the place there is a line of people for ice cream.

Get out and get ice cream!

If You Love Brownies...and Ice Cream

One of my favorite desserts has always been ice cream. I use to have a hat when I was growing up that said, "I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream." The things that are bought for us when we are children.

If I had a choice between Brownies and Cookies, it is brownies all the way. I like their thick chewy goodness.

So what could be better than Ben & Jerry's Brownie Batter Ice Cream...
Opening the cover just made the ice cream that more inviting..

This ice cream literally tastes like brownies. It is worth buying again. It is an ice cream that is definitely worth screaming about in excitement.

Talenti Gelato -- Caribbean Coconut

I am a big Ben & Jerry's and Hagan Daaz ice cream fan. Recently I picked up something different -- Talenti Gelato. They have a website www.talentigelato.com.
I looked at the back and was amazed at how healthy it is. Something new to try. Here is the back.

It is Vegetarian, Green, all-natural, gluten free, Hormone free, HFCS free, all natural and kosher. There are 4 servings per container at 190 calories with 70 calories from fat.
I am use to eating those other ice creams which have a lot of flavor. The flavor for this gelato is Caribbean Coconut.

On the Talenti site they describe this gelato as "Tender, moist shredded coconut imported from the Philippines adds an exotic and inspiring natural element  to traditional flavors. "

The gelato was very good but the coconut flavor was not as distinct as I would have liked it to be. Despite that I think I would be willing to try another flavor.
